Field Trip! | El Capitan Canyon, Santa Barbara, California | photo workshop + camping + dancing

Hi! I've just returned a little more tan than before from California, where I left my heart (as I always do) and took many many photos along the way (how could I not?) I traveled this time for Field Trip - an amazing combination of photography classes and workshops, networking, partying, camping, dancing, bonfires, new friends, the beach, the sun, everything in between.

Sharing below a few moments from the trip - see you there next year?

Experimenting + shooting with trash/glass/glitter/smoke with Autumn of Hello Miss Lovely - I created a separate blog post of these colorful images here.

California sunsets are what dreams are made of. Well, mine at least.

Things I took away from this adventure:

  • be unapologetically you
  • create often and create even when not prompted
  • be selfless
  • find light (figurative and literal)
  • make art, not photos

on a non-photography related note:

  • forgive often and love more
  • accept your shortcomings and embrace them
  • always be open

It was a good week. (My friend Geoff Bardot took this photo of me.)
